# 1D NetCDF CF compliant data causes Paraview 5.8.1 to crash

Hi  
I’m new to using Paraview for NetCDF format and also am un-familiar with the format. So any and all insights are appreciated. I’m trying to open the following file, [cm1out\_diag\_000607.nc](https://discourse.paraview.org/uploads/short-url/iAkRf4ovAZYvPYw10PAMhfeLIbO.nc) (274.2 KB) which I presume is a 1D line with various variables at different points. However I’m unable to open it in paraview (v 5.8.1), it crashes. But, it opens in v5.7.0, although I can’t find the coordinates for the line to plot it.  
My end goal is just to plot a line from the line data
