# Alter labels of paraview plugin xml

Paraview provides many sources and filters by its **sources.xml** and **filter.xml** , of which custom app is able to choose a subset to generate corresponding menu content.  
But what if I want them with different labels( **i.e.** text displayed on menu)? I see that the **label** property is nested in **SourceProxy** in paraview source instead of **proxy** in custom app.  
For example, how could I change label ‘_Clean_’ to ‘_Cleaning_’
