I use vtkOverlappingAMR with a private reader plugin deriving from vtkAMRBaseReader

All is good until I use AxisAlignedSlice to cut through my grids, and my FieldData attached to each grid have disappeared. The same does not happen with “SliceWithPlane”, or “Slice”, or “Contour”

So I wonder if passing the FieldData is not implemented in AxisAlignedSlice? And it also prompts me to a more general question. Is there a way to attach FieldData to the top container, the vtkOverlappingAMR itself, because indeed, my simulation global field data are valid for the whole collection, and should not have to be repeated for each leaf grid. Having these FieldData is necessary to do derived field calculations and other similar operations. How do vtkOverlappingAMR users manage that?

Thanks for the feedback.

Hi @jfavre

I confirm the issue, it should be trivial to fix, please open an issue.

Best,
