# basic (legacy?) .vtu file not recognized

Dear All,

I’m trying to open a .vtu file with Paraview 5.91.  
The file should conform to the legacy .vtu format reported on the VTK website, but no reader can recognize it.

Here the link to download the file:

This is a legacy **.vtk** file, not .vtu. There is no such things a Legacy VTU.

Just rename your file 🙂
