# be able to set default to plane parameters in clip/slice

in regards to the improvements of the gui, one annoyance while working in paraview, is create a clip/slice, set up the specific cutting point, and while moving the camera, move the cutting point. Furthermore, if one sets it to false the ‘show plane’ and save as defaults this value will not be saved at least between sessions of paraview. The request can be at two different levels,
1. be able to save all the default values of a filter, including this one.
2. set as default show plane to false.
the 1. is quite general and would be nice to have, the 2. could be complementary to 1. or only be implemented this (2.), ideally the feature request would be for the two, nevertheless at mainly is the 2. as another annoyance of the current default value is that when doing fully script and forget to set it to off, if we save screenshots with pvpython, the plane will show up.

The cutting plane parameters are already saved.
But indeed, the `Show plane` is not really a property like the other, only a GUI thing and is not saved. May be doable to add it I think.

it is not only GUI, as if you dont turn it off and you use a script made fully in python (and you forget to turn this off) and you save a screenshot you find yourself with the plane there ^^

Ah yes, sorry about that. I meant that it is a specific property that has custom code path, different than other properties like plane origin: it applies on a widget and not on the filter itself.
Long story short: internal design to handle.
