# Building Salome from github on top of Paraview 5.11.2

Hi, trying to rebuild Salome from scratch on Debian/Trixie I run into an issue with cmake when configuring GUI module:

It seems like a known issue but I cannot find the patches to apply to fix this.  
Could you point me to the paraview version that fixes this or to the patches I have to apply?

NB: with gcc 14, I had to add cstdint header in the following files to get Catalyst and Paraview to compile:

- catalyst/src/tools/replay/catalyst\_replay.cpp
- ParaView/VTK/ThirdParty/libproj/vtklibproj/src/proj\_json\_streaming\_writer.hpp

Hello,  
You can try the following [patch](https://github.com/SalomePlatform/sat_salome/blob/2b244f1e2223c7daf273f41f2c8fade935f792f3/products/patches/paraview-5.11.0.p012-skip-FindTBB.patch) to build ParaView  
To build SALOME’s GUI you may also need a similar patch for [rkCommon](https://github.com/SalomePlatform/sat_salome/blob/2b244f1e2223c7daf273f41f2c8fade935f792f3/products/patches/rkCommon-1.5.1-skip-FindTBB.patch)
