# Calculator Does Not Work With Partial Dataset

Hello all,
I have an AMR data set where the data is only stored on the leaf nodes. Thus all datasets come up as partial, which is fine. However, the calculator does not seem to work with them. It cannot parse the equations that I give it that use any of the data. Once I perform some filter on the amr data set, like a slice, and the dataset is no longer partial, the calculator works. Is there something I’m missing? Seems like I should be able to create expressions from partial datasets.

I have an AMR data set that only stores the information on the leaf nodes. Therefore, all datasets are partial and all are okay. The calculator seems to be not working with them, however. The equations I give cannot be analysed by using any of the data. [http://mycalcu.com/](http://mycalcu.com/)
