# Cannot see contour plots in saved state file

Hi I am doing some operations on contours and calculators, and saving the thing as state file. But when i am trying to open the state file, it loads the state but i cannot see the contour plots. So i have to do everything again. What is the problem that is going on? Any help is greatly appreciated

could you please share your state file? Which version of paraview do you use?

Hi Lucas, thanks. I use Paraview 5.12.0-RC1. I think I am not allowed to share any data due to reasons-sorry-but if you can let me know why this problem keeps on occuring, it will be helpful. If i can share the state file, i will after asking my supervisor..hope it is fine.

no worries, I asked it because I don’t reproduce your issue on master, here is what I have tried:

- create a wavelet
- compute a dummy metric with the Calculator : sin(coordx)
- compute a contour
- save state

When I open this statefile, everything is good on my side.

Are your sure you don’t have any error in your console ?

Hi When i am creating a wavelet and doing some contours it is showing in the rectangular region, but my geometry is different. I cannot get back my circular shaped gemetry from that. How can i solve this problem?
