# CGNS writer

Hello,

I am trying to use the new CGNS writer, but I get an error:

```

The error is very easy to reproduce: it is sufficient to create, e.g., a “Fast Uniform Grid” from the Sources menu, and then use “Save Data…”, requesting the CGNS format.

Does anyone have any advice? Am I simply trying to use this tool outside of its intended scope?

You have given precise steps to reproduce it, and I can tag the authors of the writer who may be able to fix it expediently.
