# Change filter input by drag and drop

Hi everyone,

I’m using the filter “Change input” action extensively. It would be nice to simply drag & drop a filter to an other one in the pipeline to trigger this “change input” action. Similary to what file explorers do.

It may seem to be a detail, but consider the following example. You have a source, and _n_ parallel branches below this source. You want to introduce a new variable (with the calculator), and share it in all the branches (so you want to place it just below the source). Today, you have to perform _n_ times the “right-click \> change input \> select the new input” instead of just dragging the filters (we could even imagine selecting them all and then dragging).

For alternative to the pipeline browser interactions, you can also try out the Node Editor plugin. this is intended for a more graphical, mouse oriented usage.
