Hi, I’m rendering 3D Glyphs from a VTP file and would like to create a cross section of them. However the “Clip” and “Slice” filters have no effect. My ParaView version is 5.4.1. Do you have any advice?

Welcome to ParaView, @wansing

It sounds like you are using the **3D Glyphs** representation to represent the mesh from your VTP file. To get the effect you are looking for, you will need to instead apply a **Glyph** filter to the VTP file. The difference is that the first one shows glyphs but does not generate geometry you can work with, whereas the **Glyph** filter actually generates geometry you can **Clip** and **Slice**.

That worked. Thank you very much!
