# crash paraview

hi  
I’m using paraview from one year and now it crash when i open xdmf or pvd files (i don’t use others formats). the error message when I oper paraview from terminal is:

I downloaded the last version and I launched it as in [Install Paraview 5.8](https://discourse.paraview.org/t/install-paraview-5-8/4148) . the last version is:

I’d suggest reseting/deleting your settings
