I think this is a pretty simple bug when I run descriptive statistics filter on even the “example visualizations” provided it no longer displays the standard deviation with the mean, median, etc. When I say no longer, I found in an older version of Paraview (3.8.1) with the same data it does display the standard deviation. On the wiki it does list std. dev. as a variable to be displayed when running this filter.

Hey Ron,
I believe that M2 is actually standard deviation. I wrote up some corrections/ fixes/ features for this filter here: [https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/issues/18795](https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/issues/18795). One of the features requested is for a note that M2 is standard deviation. Also, note the qualifications on this filter in parallel. This bug is scheduled for fall of 2019, with a priority of required.
