# Error about procedure entry point not found in dll

Hi,
I’m new to installing Paraview. I have the Linux version installed and it works for the users. I installed the Windows version with the zip file. On starting paraview.exe I get an error that states the “procedure entry point MPI\_Win\_lock\_all” couldn’t be located in adios2\_core\_dll. Are there installation documents available for reading? I unzipped the downloaded file and put it our test environment. This is the latest v5.11.1.

Use the non-mpi version or install mpi sdk, at stated in the download page:

Thank you. The user here agreed to use the non-mpi version.
