what happens if you run `paraview --dr` from terminal ?

Hum, there must be a hidden setting somewhere then.

Run paraview with `paraview --verbosity=9 > pv.log 2>&1` and share the file here.

Thanks all for helping out with this i still dont know why deleting didn’t helped in the first place but for my colleges deletion of the foam source was enough and worked. (couldn’t reply because of the new account limit)
