# Error when opening pv.foam

Hi,
I cannot open my simulation results anymore. I’m receiving the following error when i open the pv.foam file:

I opened the file before and suddenly it isn’t working anymore. I guess I changed something but I have no idea what.
I’m using ParaView 5.10.1
I really need those results and i would be very happy if you can help me!

It worked when i opened directly after i was done simulating and then i wanted to look at it again later. I guess i changed the folder and did not think of it as something relevant 😬

Having an umlaut in your path name shouldn’t be a problem.
I am not familiar with the FOAM file format. How did you open the file exactly? With a Paraview menu item or from Windows explorer?
Please upload an example file which causes the error. Without simple steps to recreate the issue it is impossible to diagnose.

I don’t know about Windows,but my m1 mac sometimes needs. rm -rf ~/.config/Paraview.
