# Export Inspector : Removed in 5.8 ?

I am following this [tutorial](https://cinemasciencewebsite.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tutorial_workflows_PV57.html) but found that in 5.8, there is no “Export Inspector” in the View menu
Is that being replace by something else or removed because it is deprecated ?

That is correct. It’s been replaced by **Extractors**.
If you’re keen, check this [discussion](https://discourse.paraview.org/t/extracts-exports-and-catalyst-python-scripts/4569) out. The extractors are documented in the Guide [here](https://docs.paraview.org/en/latest/UsersGuide/savingResults.html#extractors).
The Cinema tutorial will be updated soon to reflect the new workflow.

Correction, it hasn’t been removed in 5.8, but in 5.9 is where it’s removed.
