I have point-data (\*.vtm) files that are ParaView-generated an am trying to use the Plot Data Filter to plot point data versus point coordinates. Upon applying the Plot Data filter the coordinates are available, but the Series Parameters panel is empty. (This a MacOS v5.6.0 gui obtained from the download site.). Thanks for pointing out my mistake.

Could you share your dataset ? Could you test with ParaView 5.7 ?

The ParaView-v5.7.0-RC2 GUI behaves exactly the same for me. (Don’t forget that this is OSX 10.14.6 on MacBook Pro model 579C-A1990, python 2.7.16)

Tarfile Cu4.tar uploaded. Thanks much, b.[Cu4.tar](https://discourse.paraview.org/uploads/short-url/oXzGqez9KfpK3TWwKDrmADRtG9q.tar) (1.7 MB)

Looks like the line chart view does not like multipiece input.
I’ve opened an issue here :

In the meantime, just use Filters -\> Merge Blocks before PlotData.

Thanks much. This works fine with my data and on my Mac.

BTW, while I have your attention, do you know if there is a way to change the color of the lines/markers on a variable in the Plot Data/Series Parameters list? This is handy if one is doing overlays (superimposed views) of the same data. thx.

Just double click on the color in series parameters.
