Hello.
I am a beginner to Paraview (5.13.2.)
I ran 2D SPH simulations with DualSPHysics and got vtk result files. (2000 group files)
I think the simulation result is reasonable by considering dp or vel contours.

The problem is…
whenever I apply the ‘Gradient’ filter, ParaView crashes unexpectedly.
Sometimes I get no error message, sometimes I get an error message:
“The instruction at 0x00007ffD03D230 referenced memory at 0x00000000001382C0. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program.”

So I tried with the same SPH result in different versions of paraview (5.12.0, 5.10.1):
Then the paraview window does not close anymore, but all gradient values are displayed as 0.

Please help me out.
Thank you for your help.

It is an arbitrary vtk file of my result.
Thank you for your help.

Your data contains only vertices, you need proper cells with connectivity to compute gradient, this is why it zero on almost all versions.

The crash you have in 5.13.2 is still present though, needs. investigation.
