# how can I clip a mesh with another stl plane?

Hello everyone,
So happy to join in the community!
Here is my first question:
Can I clip a mesh with another mesh plane (imported from an STL file)? Which fileter is possible to do that?
I want this because I can create the STL file from outside CAD, so I don’t need to regulate the default clip plan of Paraview.

Can you please provide some information about the topology of both of your meshes ? Are they 2-manifolds ? Closed surfaces ? Watertight ? That would help us find how to clip.
