# How does addPropertyLink work?

Hello!

Could you clarify please how addPropertyLink works?

And what is the difference between this approach, and second, where one can manually handle the changing of the widget, and then do ProxyHelper(…).Set(— new value — )  
And then UpdateVTKObjects()

Will the second approach even work?
