# How to change a solid line to a dashed line

Hello,
Is it possible to change a solid line into a dashed one? I can control the line width, but I could not find any option to change the line property.

In the 3D view ? You would need actually duplicate and move points, doable in a prog filter but that depends on your end goal here.

Thank you for the response. I meant 2D view. For example, I want to make the black curve in the below a dashed line.

The file you shared is a .vtu file, which is a 3D construct, even if the Z coordinates is zero.
