# How to disable link previews in posts

Discourse can add a link preview for URLs that appear on separate lines in posts, such as the following:

> ParaView 2.4 was released in November 2005. The latest patch to this release (2.4.4) was in June 2006. New features in ParaView 2.4 include: • ... Read More

To disable the preview and show just the link, simply add a space in front of the URL in the Discourse editor:

[https://blog.kitware.com/paraview](https://blog.kitware.com/paraview)

The leading space will be dropped in the display of the post, as will the link preview block.
