# I cannot open paraview on OF9

Hi everyone,

I have faced a strange problem.  
First, please be noted that I have almost no knowledge in LINUX stuff and all I have done so far about installation on LINUX was only copy-paste from websites.

Now my problem  
I have both OF9 and FE9 and both were working well. Just now I realized that when I use OF9, I cannot open Paraview to see my results (I was able to do it). I check the “which paraview” command and it does exactly nothing. But which “paraFoam” gives me :  
“/opt/openfoam9/bin/paraFoam”.

I know that some addresses must be also included in .bachrc file. Hence, I also checked the .bashrc file which exists in the HOME directory. at the end of this file I could find:

alias of9=‘source /opt/openfoam9/etc/bashrc’  
alias fe41=‘export PATH=/opt/ParaView-5.9.1-MPI-Linux-Python3.8-64bit/bin:$PATH; source $HOME/foam/foam-extend-4.1/etc/bashrc’

My question is HOW TO RUN PARAVIEW when I am using OF9.

No idea, this is a ParaView discourse, not OpenFOAM discourse.

- Go to [https://www.paraview.org/download/](https://www.paraview.org/download/)
- Download ParaView and extract/install it
- Run ParaView
