I have a 3080 nvidia and i5 11600KF 32 Gb RAM and Ubuntu 22.04 and when following a course on openfoam v9 and going through the Ahmed body example, I see paraview on the tutorial having no lag and mine (with the exact same amount of cells) being very laggy and when I want to navigate it jumps frames. I do not know why but I suspect paraview is not using my GPU.

I have prompt AI to help and it recommended glxinfo | grep “OpenGL renderer” which outputs fine detecting my video card. I have paraview version 5.6.3.

Update your ParaView version and check Help-\>About for the detected GPU info.
