# I'm using WSL and paraFOAM does not work

You may have followed the tutorial from [openfoam.org](http://openfoam.org), “OpenFOAM for Windows”

This tutorial was not written nor is maintained by ParaView developers or Kitware.  
Also paraFOAM is not developed nor maintained by ParaView developers or Kitware.

ParaView does not support WSL officially.

If you want to use ParaView on Windows please do the following:

- Navigate to [https://www.paraview.org/download/](https://www.paraview.org/download/)
- Download the last binary release (eg: ParaView-5.12.1-Windows-Python3.10-msvc2017-AMD64.msi)
- Install it by double clicking on it and following the wizard
- Double click on the ParaView shortcut on your Windows desktop

Please do not use ParaView or paraFOAM inside of WSL.
