# Importing Shapefiles

Hello,

I am new to ParaView and I would like to import a shapefile to to the model in the area where the arrow is.

I found a reference to ParaViewGeo plugin but it seems like that site is discontinued and I couldn’t download the files.  
Does anyone have a suggestion how I can load in shapefiles to superimpose over the model?

ParaView 5.9 can load .shp file natively.

File → Open → Select your shp file → Ok → Apply

It seems like I need a reader because I hit an error when I try that. I am using version 5.8.1
