Hi,

I am fairly new to Paraview. While working with openfast i use paraview for visualization purposes. However, Openfast does not output the wind field so i used the inflow dvr to make it. This outputs the field in vtp file format. When imported to Paraview, i get a window saying the reader for these type of files are not found, and i have to choose from a list. I do not know which one is compatible for my task. According to ChatGPT, **XML PolyData Reader** should be chosen. But i did not find it in the list.

The reader detection should be automatic, please share your data.

Dear Mathieu. Thanks for your response. Here are the first few timesteps of my generated wind field.

A little background is that I am using Openfast in my master thesis which create vtk of my HAWT body, and Paraview have no problem interpreting these. However, the wind field is created using InflowWind (a module provided by NREL) as a standalone, and these are the files that Paraview is struggling with. Please find the files attached.

These are not .vtp file, but .vtk files, renamed them to open them correctly
