ParaView does not officially support WSL, why not installing simply the Windows version ?

I have no choice, I use a software that only run on ubuntu (openfoam among other thing). Clearly, I think WSL is not the limitation here because I can install paraview-dev package that work fine but it’s with version 5.10, I want to install paraview 5.11 . How can I do that please ?

you can share filesystem between your WSL and your Windows.

As I said, not officially supported.

That being said, you can download ParaView for linux here: [https://www.paraview.org/download/?version=v6.0&filter=Linux](https://www.paraview.org/download/?version=v6.0&filter=Linux)

It sounds like you’re using the Ubuntu packages? It looks like `resolute` has 5.13 here: [Ubuntu – Package Search Results -- paraview](https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=paraview). I do not now how to use this information to install the package though.

I need the cmake, lib .so, include dir of paraview to build a 3rd party software that use paraview. And this software run on linux only (openfoam visualisation module (catalyst)). So, Windows is not an option for me.
