# Interpolating results on a points cloud

Hi! I would like to try to interpolate the results obtained on a cutting plane of my simulation onto a point cloud representing a plane with a certain dimension. However, I would like a null value to be assigned where there is no overlap (i.e. where there are no velocity results). Basically I should map the results onto a larger plane represented by the point cloud.  
Is there any way I can do this?
