# Mapping from Unstructured to Structured Grid

Hello Everyone,
I have multiple geometries of a plate with a circular hole. The size and the location of the hole keeps changing. I want to have a constant grid and on this I want to interpolate the displacement results of multiple geometries with varying hole sizes and location. The end result will be that I will have the displacement result of all these geometries always on the same mesh.

Hi @iamkbatra !
I would say to create a [time series](https://docs.paraview.org/en/latest/UsersGuide/dataIngestion.html#handling-temporal-file-series), then apply the “resample to dataset” filter to get the displacement at each time step.
