# meaning of "animateable" attribute in smproperty

Could anyone please explain the meaning of “animateable” attribute in smproperty definition? When it should be used?

If a property is animatable, it can be added to an animation track in the animation view, and the track can modify the property’s values, e.g., sweeping across a range of isovalues to produce an animation of contour evolution.
