# need help on ParaView startup

Thanks for trying out ParaView, @avshalom_mor. I’m sorry you are having this issue.

This looks like a known issue with a particular version of the Intel graphics driver. (See, for example [this bug](https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/19364) or numerous other discussions on this site such as [this one](https://discourse.paraview.org/t/weird-display-resolution/3035).)

The simplest solution is usually to update your Intel graphics driver to the most recent version.

Ken and @avshalom_mor, I had this issue with my personal Dell laptop. The latest Intel drivers did not resolve this issue. Howeverm rolling back to the original drivers (from a year and a half ago) did work. Moral is to try older drivers if the new ones don’t work.

Hi Alan and Kenneth,  
In my case (desktop) it (updating driver) worked perfectly.
