# ParaView 5.8.0 Release Candidate 3 available for download

The ParaView team is happy to announce that ParaView 5.8.0-RC3 (Release Candidate 3) is available for download at

[https://www.paraview.org/download/](https://www.paraview.org/download/)

ParaView’s git repository and superbuild repository have been tagged with `v5.8.0-RC3`.

This is expected to be the last release candidate prior to the final release of ParaView 5.8.0.

Please let us know if you find any problems with this release candidate.

Animation View seems to only play at Real Time after first switching to Sequence then to Real Time

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open exodus file with many time steps
2. In Animation View choose Real Time from dropdown
3. Press play (will play at sequence speed)
4. (Optional) adjust Duration e.g 10-20
5. (Optional) Press play (will play at sequence speed equal to steps in adjusted duration)
6. Switch to sequence
7. Switch back to Real Time
8. Press play (will play at correct Real Time speed)

This has happened with multiple exodus files 2D/3D

Thanks, @wortiz. We have an issue documenting that very issue [here](https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/issues/19634). It will be fixed in a future release.
