# ParaView 5.9RC2 OSPRay pathtracer

In PV 5.9RC2 with OSPRay pathtracer turned on, and Background mode set to Environment, if you set Path Traced Environment to Gradient it renders a sphere at the Environment North and Environment East locations. Is there a way turn off the visibility of these spheres?

Yes. This has been present forever. It was also recently fixed in OSPRay.

I recommend we submit this as an issue on ParaView with a milestone of 5.10.
