# Paraview hangs (and hangs all open Terminals) on MacOSX (High SIerra) with remote-connect

Hi,

When I open and link paraview to an external server (RHEA@OLCF in my case), it pops a terminal asking for a passwd, as it should, but immediately hangs (MacOSX complains that ‘application not responding’), so I cannot enter anything in the terminal. In fact, all my (other) open terminals also seem to hang (i.e. I cannot get back cursor in any of my terminals). I have tried several versions of Paraview, and it is the same results.

I have XQuartz for X11. My OSX is High Sierra (v10.13.6).

Has anyone encountered this issue before, and if so, what solution worked for you?

Thanks for responding. Server configuration is attached to this post. Do you see anything amiss?
