Hi,

I am trying to use mathtext to render equations in Paraview. I would like to get the text rendered in serif font (like this example [https://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaView/Equation\_Rendering](https://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaView/Equation_Rendering)), instead of the default Dejavu Sans. However, when I tried to change the Font Properties to Times or others, it made no difference.

I’d like to use it on Paraview 5.7.0, but I have tried it on 5.8.1 as well. I’ve tried it on Text source and Color Legend title.

I noticed a similar thread in [https://discourse.paraview.org/t/mathtext-usage-for-different-font-or-non-ascii-characters-in-the-axis-titles/](https://discourse.paraview.org/t/mathtext-usage-for-different-font-or-non-ascii-characters-in-the-axis-titles/). It seems that from [https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/18284](https://gitlab.kitware.com/paraview/paraview/-/issues/18284), I should be able to change the rendered text to Times.

Is there something I have missed? Thanks!

In the issue you linked, I state that it is not supported.
