I am relatively new to Paraview and am looking to make a custom HDF5 reader plugin for data that I am working with through Python. Any help on this would be appreciated.

ParaView binaries from [paraview.org](http://paraview.org) come with [h5py](https://www.h5py.org/) which you can use in either a **Programmable Source** or better (IMO) a [Python Algorithm plugin](https://docs.paraview.org/en/latest/ReferenceManual/pythonProgrammableFilter.html#python-algorithm).
