# Regarding use of pqPointPickingHelper

I recently looked into the pqPointPickingHelper and have a question about the memory management.  
In [pqSplinePropertyWidget.cxx](https://github.com/Kitware/ParaView/blob/e7dd38061e0f91007002fe1ff4c19fcb8114d672/Qt/ApplicationComponents/pqSplinePropertyWidget.cxx), multiple pqPointPickingHelper objects are allocated using `new` from line [345](https://github.com/Kitware/ParaView/blob/e7dd38061e0f91007002fe1ff4c19fcb8114d672/Qt/ApplicationComponents/pqSplinePropertyWidget.cxx#L345) to [373](https://github.com/Kitware/ParaView/blob/e7dd38061e0f91007002fe1ff4c19fcb8114d672/Qt/ApplicationComponents/pqSplinePropertyWidget.cxx#L373). But I don’t see they get released anywhere. Since this is not a vtkSmartPointer so there is no reference count to manage it automatically. Do I miss anything here?

This is Qt code. QObject are deleted when the parent is deleted, in this case this is `this`. No leaks here.
