# Saving VTK and STL images as mhd + raw files

Hello,

I’m working with VTK and STL files and i would like to save them to mhd + raw files, unfortunately Paraview is saving it as mhd + zraw files.

Is there a way to turn off the compression in Paraview ? I searched for some time how to decompress zraw files but i didn’t find anything.

Let me know if I should provide more information.
