# Screen tears and does not load properly

Whenever I open paraview, it opens perfectly, but when I load a file, the screen simply tears or becomes black. It comes back intermittently, but goes black again. I have tried reinstalling the graphics drivers. The desktop has a intel native gpu and an nVidia A1000 gpu. I tried different versions starting 5.6 to 6.1, installation files, or portable versions. None of them seem to work.

We have reports of issues with the latest NVIDIA driver: [ParaView not working with NVIDIA driver 595](https://discourse.paraview.org/t/paraview-not-working-with-nvidia-driver-595/17474)
Rolling back appears to be a good workaround for now.

@uta-dasp did you try rolling back to a previous NVIDIA driver?
