Hello there,

I’m running ICFD analysis on LS-DYNA with VTK or VTU output for Paraview.

Problem is, when i load the results in Paraview i cannot seperate my different surfaces (to plot the shear stress per part for example).

I’d like to know if there is a way to seperate each surfaces please. I already tried the multi block inspection, it returned this error :

ERROR: In vtkExtractBlockUsingDataAssembly.cxx, line 222

You can access the results with this link : [https://wetransfer.com/downloads/4965ade417abc54aa2bb30d02ec84e3920250523130120/af83fd631575f8744391a6abd7520ce620250523130121/a54c36?t\_exp=1748264481&t\_lsid=068d4e36-7abb-4a0e-86ed-8894163c4370&t\_network=email&t\_rid=Z29vZ2xlLW9hdXRoMnwxMDIxNzA4NjUyNTQyOTIxNzI3OTA=&t\_s=download\_link&t\_ts=1748005281](https://wetransfer.com/downloads/4965ade417abc54aa2bb30d02ec84e3920250523130120/af83fd631575f8744391a6abd7520ce620250523130121/a54c36?t_exp=1748264481&t_lsid=068d4e36-7abb-4a0e-86ed-8894163c4370&t_network=email&t_rid=Z29vZ2xlLW9hdXRoMnwxMDIxNzA4NjUyNTQyOTIxNzI3OTA%3D&t_s=download_link&t_ts=1748005281&utm_campaign=TRN_TDL_01&utm_source=sendgrid&utm_medium=email&trk=TRN_TDL_01)

Your data open fine in ParaView. What do you mean by “a way to seperate each surfaces” ?

In reality, there are several surfaces in the model (see attached picture)

I would like to have them displayed in Paraview to plot the surface shear on the smaller cylinder

It seems that i just have access to the volume plot and not the surface plot in ParaView

Well, this is what is contained in the file you shared. It does not contains the surface. You may want to check if the surfaces can be exported from LS-DYNA

All right then, i will ask this to the LS-PrePost developpers, thank you.
