This is my first time using paraview and when I follow a tutorial online to use can.ex2 as the data input and use Find Data to select a section in this file, it get stuck when I click the run selection query and I have to force quit it.
I’m using MacOS and I downloaded the latest paraview. May I check if this is because I’m not doing this correct?
Thanks!

Hi @CJustin!

Couple of questions…

Is the selection query pictured causing it to get stuck? What MacOS are you running?

I am able to run the selection query pictured on Mojave (10.14.6) with the nightly binary from: [https://www.paraview.org/paraview-downloads/download.php?submit=Download&version=nightly&type=binary&os=macOS&downloadFile=ParaView-5.8.1-1261-g06418d2c5f-MPI-OSX10.12-Python3.7-64bit.dmg](https://www.paraview.org/paraview-downloads/download.php?submit=Download&version=nightly&type=binary&os=macOS&downloadFile=ParaView-5.8.1-1261-g06418d2c5f-MPI-OSX10.12-Python3.7-64bit.dmg)
