# Spatial average

Hello,

I have a `.case` file and I want to compute a spatial average of the fields. Afterwards, I want to visualize it using a slice or a plot over line. The problem is that I don’t know how to compute a spatial average over a volume, surface, or line. Thank you for your help.

Additionally, I have a question regarding temporal statistics: is it the temporal average?

DescriptiveStatistics filter is what you are looking for I believe.
