# Stereo mode side by side

Would it be possible to have another stereo rendering mode, identical to the ‘side by side (left/right)’ mode, but using the full width of the display instead of the current mode, where it ‘squishes’ the horizontal dimension in half.

A variety of devices support full-resolution side-by-side (like the LED Sony wall I have).

If I understand you correctly, that is one of the goals of this MR [1] , which we are hoping to have merged within the next few months.
