# stop pvpython from opening x11 window

i will use pvbatch, dummy from my side, but could you confirm me if i am missing something or we SHOULD use:

animationScene1.AnimationTime = timeSteps[-1]

and there is no other way to ‘change the current time’ when using paraview(in scripting)? I am asking due to this problem I [faced](https://discourse.paraview.org/t/filters-not-being-updated-when-using-pvpython/17347/2)
