# The variation of physical quantities with position

Hello, researchers. As shown in the figure, how can I obtain the variation of voidfraction on this section with the axial X position? Thank you very much.

[**Plot Over Line**](https://docs.paraview.org/en/latest/Tutorials/ClassroomTutorials/beginningPlotting.html#plot-along-a-line) could be useful to you. Set one point at the minimum X position and the other point at the maximum X position. That will give you a plot of voidfraction vs. x.
