# Updating required Python minimum version to 3.6

Python 3.5 and earlier are now [EOL](https://devguide.python.org/#status-of-python-branches). Should we update ParaView’s minimum required Python version to 3.6?

I know some folks require Python 3.5 support until sometime next year. If we could hold off updating the minimum until next year, that would help them out.
