# Using Paraview with Meta Quest 2/3 or HTC Vive

Hello,

I would like to check whether Paraview currently supports connection with VR headsets such as Meta Quest 2/3 or HTC Vive. If so, could you please share any guidance or documentation on how to set up and use Paraview with these devices?

HTC Vive (2013): yes  
HTC Vive Pro: yes  
HTC Vive Pro2: no

Bonjour! Mathieu,

Recently, I tried using the VR feature of Paraview and plan to purchase a headset device.

I have reviewed the official documentation and the `.json` files under the XRinterface plugin. Currently, the directly supported devices include **HP Motion** , **HTC Vive** , **Meta Quest 2/3** , **Valve Index** , and **MS HoloLens**. Among these, **HP Motion** and **MS HoloLens** seem to have been discontinued.  
I would like to ask, does Paraview support other series of HTC headsets? For example, [HTC Focus](https://www.vive.com/cn/product/#focus%20series).

It seems to be a similar technology as the Vive pro2, so I do not think so.

Edit: OpenXR seems to support “Vive Streaming” now, which may work for ParaView, but testing is needed.
