# White color appears cream/beige in contour plots.

I am using BWR colormap for contour plots. Instead of white color for **scalar ‘0’** value, I get cream or yellowish. Please suggest tips.

Fairly certain what you’re seeing is lighting / shading on the surface(s). For example, here’s an ellipsoid:

If I go to it’s `Properties` panel and turn on `Advanced Settings` via the “gear” icon ( ![image](https://discourse.paraview.org/uploads/default/original/3X/a/7/a7294fa9ab828277d8a82fd637ec6ba5f0ae8564.png)) then I have an option to `Disable Lighting` under the `Lighting` panel:

Then I get a “true to colorbar” rendering:
